Wine Tasting Event
The WVU Palmetto Chapter Board is delighted to invite you to a special evening of Italian wine tasting featuring a professional wine instructor from Tenuta Torciano Winery, located in the heart of San Gimignano.
This exclusive experience is reserved for fellow Palmetto Chapter Mountaineers who appreciate fine wine and good company. Join us on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., for an unforgettable evening hosted at the home of WVU alumni Jon and Lynn Hammock, 8 Man O’ War, Hilton Head Island.
The guided wine school will feature 8–10 Tuscan selections, including Chiantis, Brunellos, Super Tuscans, dessert wines, as well as tastings of truffle oils, extra virgin olive oils, and balsamic vinegars. You’ll learn how Tuscan wines are crafted, how soil, climate, and history shape their character, and why certain wines pair beautifully with specific foods. Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase Tenuta Torciano wines at a special discounted rate.
